Have Any Questions?

Take a look through my most frequently asked questions to answer any questions you may have. If you can’t find your answer please feel free to email me below.

I have a select group of suppliers located all over the world, I only work with suppliers that can prove to me the origins of the gem stones to ensure the I am buying responsibly sourced stones.

I try to ship website orders within three working days of order, if an item is on back order (made to order) it can take up to 3 weeks but this should be stated on the individual product page. Bespoke orders require a minimum of 4 weeks from design approval -sometimes longer if specific gem stones have to be sourced and imported , but this is dependant on the individual design and each time scale is quoted along with the cost.

The best way to enquire about a bespoke piece of jewellery is to use the contact form in the “Bespoke” section of the website, here I have a few key points that need to be taken in to consideration, the more information you can give me on what you are looking for initially the faster I can get you a quote a design. I do ask that you do not contact me via social media DM’s for bespoke pieces as I cannot track the messages in these inboxes or attach the necessary documents to progress the order through design stage.

The main runnings of the business is just me! However I do outsource some help from a few freelance beauties! I have Josh who looks after my website, Rae who does my year end accounts, and I have recently taken on Julia as a freelance social media assistant as anyone that runs a small business knows social media is a whole role in itself and something that I used to neglect a little.

I do use also freelance photographers for locations shoots but other than that everything else, customer service, designing, sourcing, making, photography, emails, accounts, quoting, admin, etc. is done by myself, I allocate time for each aspect of the business each week (I love a list and a diary plan) so sometimes I may not respond to an email or enquiry straight away as it may be bench day or photography day but rest assured I will get back to you just as soon as I can.

No I currently do not offer any form of lessons or courses, it is something I have considered but with all the other aspects that come with running your own business I find that I don’t have enough time on my bench myself to do all the things I want and need to do to be able to take any more away to teach others. Maybe in the future but for now its not feasible for me to offer this.

I don’t have a physical shop as such … I have several amazing stockists where you can find my work and try things on.

Check out my stockists here.

I do have a showroom / office in my workshop which you can visit but this is by appointment only. Usually these appointments are used for meetings to discuss bespoke makes but I am happy to make appointments for shopping related visits too!

I have always been a creative person and love making things, I have completed several courses, FDA Degree in Jewellery Design, Silversmithing and Tool making, National Diploma, City and Guilds and a plus a lot hours and trial and error.

Each bespoke piece is quoted individually, many factors determine the price of a piece, metal is priced by weight, stones are graded and priced according to cut, colour and clarity and stone type. I am more than happy to quote several options on any bespoke piece for you to choose something that is most suitable to your budget.

I have a size guide on the website to help determine the size you need and show the different lengths in necklaces to help you make the right choice.  Rings can be tricky, I would always advise going to any highstreet jewellery shop and getting measured, and make a note of each finger for future reference or purchasing one of our ring sizers here.

All jewellery will be received in a matt white card box with foam insert which is foil printed with the Tegen Jewellery Logo, postal orders are sent in a white postal box and surrounded in tissue paper to protect, collection orders are presented in the same jewellery boxes and in a turquoise laminated paper gift bag. You do also have the option to upgrade you packaging to a choice of two colours in handmade velvet box, currently these are only available in sizes suitable for rings or earrings, you can view them here.

Yes, a Tegen Jewellery gift voucher is available here!

Please note that these are only redeemable on our own website.

Yes, as long as the jewellery has a visible and identifiable hallmark I can re-work any old broken or inherited pieces into something more your style, Stones can be re-used as long as they are not broken or chipped.

With a bespoke piece like this I work closely with you and your ideas to come up with something for you to treasure forever and keep the sentiment of the original pice or person that gave it to you.
